On 20th May 2017, I will leave Bristol for London on foot to raise awareness for dogs who need rescuing and rehabilitating.

In the UK, around 50,000 dogs are given up as ‘unwanted’ each year. With our support, rescues can ensure these dogs get a second chance at life. Without it, a large percentage of these dogs are at risk of being put down.

The walk will take between 35 and 45 hours and will be non-stop (that means no sleeping or meal breaks or anything like that, which is a shame: because I love sleep and food!). I will be walking through towns, cities and rural areas day and night.

Of course, 100+ miles alone would be rather lonely and people may miss the link between what I’m doing and the desire to raise money and awareness for dogs who need our help. So, I will be walking a different dog every single mile of the walk. This does, however, create a slight problem for me, in that I only own 2 dogs!!!

There is a solution though: you can help me!

What I’m looking for is for kind-hearted dog-lovers to volunteer their dog to walk a mile walk with me between Bristol and London. If you are able, you too can join me for that mile too. We can chat about your dog and the causes I am raising money for. It’ll keep me from falling asleep 🙂

The route will be roughly:
Bristol > Bath > Melksham > Devizes > Avebury > Malborough > Newbury > Reading > Maidenhead > Windsor > Slough > Hayes > London.
